Liposuction

Liposuction

Liposuction is to remove regional excess fat deposits by vacuuming. It is an effective method that creates impressive results in regional slimming. Liposuction is not a method of weight loss. Fat reduction surgeries might cause undesirable situations in terms of health when applied for losing weight.

Liposuction is a method which is used for slimming the skin thickness or shaping local fattening areas. It does not directly provide weight loss or slimming but needs to be applied for shaping the body. It can generally be applied to many parts of the body such as abdomen, back, legs, arms and facial area.

In liposuction surgery, the resistant fattening area is inflated with a special liquid injection. Then, several incisions are made on and closed to this area in a few mm length. It is continued to suck the fats by vacuum until the desired body contour and a smooth skin surface are achieved. In recent years, laser or vaser which benefits from ultrasound energy has been also used other than classical methods. In this method, excess fat tissues are dissolved and then vacuumed in a similar way.
