After the otoplasty surgery, pomade gauze bandages are used to support to newly-formed ear folds on anterior and posterior surfaces of the ear. This support is continued until the first week in the early period and the ear is supported especially at night with the head bandage which is requested to be used from the beginning.

Depending on the choice of plastic surgeon, it is performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia. The incisions to be made are behind the ear.
